My dear sir,
At this point I take the R. Road to Houston tomorrow when I will arrive at 2 P.M. I called to-day to see the Demarests. Edgar [has gone] to the [Martins?] camp. Felix is residing on his Bottom place as it is called. His brother Dr. Foster & his Mother-in-law Mrs. Demarest, live at his [town?] place. I saw only Doctor Foster. Your Daughter Mrs. Leigh has been spending some days with [Edgar?] D_ & left his house only [illegible] days ago to go to her [negroes who] are encamped in Falls County. From what I could learn she has not made any arrangements with regard to her nigs. She has not sold any of them, write to her at Martin Falls County Texas.
