This site is maintained by me, W. Caleb McDaniel.

It is a collection of historical sources that originally belonged to an Omeka Classic project that I could no longer actively maintain.

In order to preserve the main content of the project without having to run Omeka, the main item and collection pages were converted into a static site in 2024 using:

• wget (to download the main pages)
• pandoc (to convert the pages to Markdown and strip formatting)
• vim (to remove a lot of lint from the converted Markdown and bulk change URLs)
• 11ty (to serve the converted Markdown files as a static site that preserves the item and collection URLs originally created by Omeka).
