County Court of Bosque County to Pendleton Murrah
Members of the Bosque County court complain to the governor about rising prices for foodstuffs caused by the rates that a local quartermaster is willing to pay to haul corn from 40 or 50 miles away. The court suspects that the quartermaster is hauling corn to the county solely "for the purpose of giving Employment to a set of favourites who have invested largely in wagons & teams."
