Letter from L. H. Moore to John Moore, May 18, 1863
Writing to his uncle, Moore asks for advice about what to do with “these negroes.” Ben Prescott is speaking of “going on to Texas where he can hire out his negroes” while “the Col.” speaks of staying in Louisiana. Moore will go on to Texas unless he is advised otherwise.
