  1. On big projects, what works for me is a system whereby I write each day without seeing what I've already written. I have a writing folder, and each day I create a new file in it named after the date (e.g., 0708, 0709). I fill it as much as I can with the time I have that day. + @HistoryCounts/1148028899751845888

At the end of the day, I open a separate file that I call "Journal," and under a heading for that day, I describe what I wrote, all my feelings about its inadequacy, where-to-next, etc. That helps me know where to start the next day, but without re-reading old stuff. +

Later, once I've reached a critical mass of text for a section/chapter, I use the journal to find and open the daily files and copy and paste text into a new "Chapter" file for review and editing. That's how I fight my own paralysis/perfectionism at least!
